Winterdances is a multidisciplinary festival event focused on the art form of dance and its dialogue with other media such as live music, visual art, and especially film. Each year, the festival showcases dance films in a cinema theater and invites local schools to attend live performances and screenings.

2025 Theme: Move in Relation
We are seeking short dance films that explore the relationships between humans, non-humans, bodies, and souls. The theme centers around connection—how we are related, interrelated, or connected to others and the world around us.

Submission Guidelines:

Length: Max 6 minutes
Language: Any language is accepted, but English subtitles are mandatory
Target Audience: Youth aged 12+
Screening Fee: Selected films will receive a screening fee of 200€ (upon presentation of an invoice).

As part of the “NoCore: Encaged” exhibition, we are offering for FREE a One-to-One workshop where participants can develop a personal dance ritual through improvisational tasks.

One-to-One Workshop Dates:

Tuesday 17.

Duration: 1.5 hours

During the exhibition, visitors can participate in one-to-one workshops to create a dance solo (3-5 minutes long) based on their thoughts and stories. This “ritual” aims to liberate parts of themselves that have been trapped inside.
