As part of the “NoCore: Encaged” exhibition, we are offering for FREE a One-to-One workshop where participants can develop a personal dance ritual through improvisational tasks.

Thanks to everyone who came to the opening of our “NoCore: Encaged” exhibition. Thanks to @caisahelsinki who hosted us and for their precious and technical assistance. Thanks to the artists involved: @rubylouiserose for her sensitive music, @bambucapoeira for helping and for his creative support, @imagesbybambu for capturing the essence in pictures, and @taikarautiainen for participating at the One-to-One workshop concluded in a very delicate and personal dancing ritual.

7.-29.9.2024 - Näsin kartano, Porvoo

During the exhibition, visitors can participate in one-to-one workshops to create a dance solo (3-5 minutes long) based on their thoughts and stories. This “ritual” aims to liberate parts of themselves that have been trapped inside.

NoCore: Encaged - Exhibition with Dance, Film, and Interactivity.
Part of the exhibition is a video installation that serves as a manifesto, celebrating the liberation of our bodies to express emotions through movement and the art of film. Dance film is an art form with roots in the history of cinema. Even today, cinematic productions frequently incorporate choreographed, expressive movements.
Dance on film is a powerful language, capable of conveying our deepest feelings, imaginations, emotions, and critical thoughts.
